Best BeautyCon Looks From The Game’s Biggest Influencers

By Jia Wertz

Everyone on the who’s who list in the blogging world was under one roof yesterday. Fashion, beauty, and lifestyle digital influencers and their ever-growing Gen Z and millennial fan base were all in attendance at Pier 36 in New York City for BeautyCon’s second annual conference with Cosmopolitan and Seventeen as their exclusive media partners.

From a Maybelline Beauty Brunch where all invited guests got a first look at new Maybelline products, to keynote discussions by Bethany Mota, Jay Manuel, and many others…the event had all the ingredients that made girls of every age cheer and scream (literally). “Being able to participate in Beautycon NYC and meet so many of the amazing Motavators who continuously support me is always such a fun experience. Can’t wait to see everyone in New York,” says Mota. Mota showcased her Aéropostale holiday line at Beautycon NYC the same day the collection launched in stores and online. Digital influencers such as Meg DeAngelis, Baddie Winkle, and Megan Nicole (for a full list of content creators and the musical lineup, click here) came together to discuss the future of online media, converse with each other during panel discussions, Q&As, and meet and greet fans.

Super fans had the opportunity to participate in interactive presentations, hear live musical performances, create content, shop, play games, learn about new products, and interact with over 30 of their favorite brands including: Tarte Cosmetics, Maybelline, Revlon, Essie, Garnier, Physician’s Formula, Elizabeth Arden, NYX Cosmetics (one again hosting its popular talent lounge), Ardell Lashes, Proactiv+, Ricky’s NYC, Sprinkles Cupcakes, and many more.

The powerful new force in consumer culture, Gen Z – 80% of which is comprised of millennials – is inherently social and internet-obsessed, consuming video on-the-go and moving markets by spending an average of $400 billion in the US each year, which paints an accurate picture of what we saw at BeautyCon.
